Coffee Review Ep.1: Milligram - Australia Artisan Roastery
Location: Near Marina Bay One, Downtown, Singapore
This café is actually a bistro that offers specialty coffee as well as some pastries such as cakes and muffins and is mainly frequented by office goers who like to take a well-deserved coffee break or have informal meetings. My father is a regular at the café and he was the one who brought me to this place.
Both of us ordered a flat white that packed a strong punch which came from the crema floating on the top. The body, in contrast, was very smooth and creamy which made it all the more enjoyable. I assume that this was a medium-dark or dark roast with intense chocolate notes and I can imagine that the espresso would be very intense, but in a good way. This coffee was unlike any other; very unique in its flavour and depth. This shows the barista’s skill in using the perfect grind and pulling out the perfect shot of espresso. The latte art was very simple and yet, I could see that it was very precise.
It would have been very interesting to try out the other brews that this café has to offer. This café is much more than a place for office goers to take breaks or have informal meetings. It is a place for coffee lovers, especially those who are looking to try something different.
